Teams I've Played On, By League
NCWHL: Northern California Women's Hockey League
I joined this league in March of 2002. When I first started, I didn't even know how to skate! Luckily, half the folks in my division that season didn't, and we learned together. The NCWHL is an extremely supportive environment for women who want to play hockey. I've made a lot of friends in this league, and look forward to many fun seasons to come.

LIAHL: Logitech Ice Adult Hockey League
I spent a couple seasons playing on A-Team II as a half-time skater. Due to distance, late games, and scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to play anywhere near half-time. I guess part of it was due to my getting fed up with the misplaced ringer teams in our division, the idiots on other teams who thought they were playing pro hockey, and dumbshits who wanted to pick fights with me.

IOAH: Ice Oasis Adult Hockey
I joined this league in March of 2005, after getting sick of all the idiots at Logitech and hearing rave reviews from my friends who had joined their Saturday night league a season earlier. What a great decision! It's been Saturday night after Saturday night of fun. Wreaks havoc on the social schedule, but worth the tradeoff for a season or two.

HWO: Hockey Workout
Hockey Workout was unique in that it they had a little rink and 3-on-3 hockey leagues. 3-on-3 hockey? Weird, yes, but fun. Well, except for the fact that the officiating was horrid. I quit after two seasons 'cause I didn't want to get injured. And then they went away.
Tournament Teams
A couple of teams I've gone to a few tournaments with. Mainly, they're just excuses to travel and have some on and off ice fun with friends.

Playing In Net
Goalie Seasons in the NCWHL
I wrote up above that the NCWHL is a great place to learn to play hockey. It's also a great place to learn to play goalie, if anything because the league loans you gear to get you started. That, and the skaters don't try to take you out.
