Combos
Why is it so hard to find a supermarket that carries Combos?
It seems whenever I want Combos, I have to find myself a gas station convenience store.
Speaking of which, I have a new favorite gas station: the Chevron on the corner of Homestead and De Anza that (1) is a Chevron (2) is not too pricey for a Chevron (3) has a decent automatic touchless car wash and (4) carries both small and large bags of Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Combos.
I like my new neighborhood.

Cheese 'n Crackers
CnC, tonight's pre-midnight snack. As I was munching, I thought, "Mmm, cheese and crackers!" In my mind I pictured one of those Kraft Handi-Snack packs (or whatever brand they were back then) with the soft orange cheese and the little red plastic spreader.
I looked down at what I was eating and chuckled at the contrast: Extra sharp Canadian white cheddar and cracked pepper water crackers with a knife.
Aww, I'm all grown up ... and I've turned into a cheese 'n crackers snob.

Bad Cheesy Cheese
For the third time this year, I bought a container of parmesan romano blend cheese (the cheesy off-the-shelf stuff you shake, no pun intended, I swear ;-), sprinkled some on my food, realized I didn't like parmesan romano blends, and threw out my food, plus the rest of the cheesy cheese.
Why do I keep forgetting that I don't like parmesan and romano together? Every time I stand there and look at the cheesy cheeses I think, hrmm, parmesan and romano, sounds yummy. So I buy, I try, and I toss. Rinse, forget, repeat.

Okay, I'm feeling kinda dumb.
Okay, I'm feeling kinda dumb. I paid over three bucks for a little container of not-so-good macaroni and cheese from Piazza's earlier today. I opened my drawer just now and I have a box of much better tasting Easy Mac sitting in there. 6 servings of tasty Easy Mac that cost me less than three bucks to buy.
There's a lesson in there somewhere but I'm not sure what it is.
Maybe it's: Don't buy macaroni and cheese from Piazza's.
Or, how about: Macaroni and cheese tastes better out of a box.

Snow Is Good ... Easy Mac Is Too
Back from you-know-where again. The snow was powdery and my spine's intact ... for the most part. I had fun and we took our new European FAS with us 'cause he'd never been to Tahoe before. As the new guy would say, "It was a good time."
I just got home and I was hungry so I made myself some Easy Mac. I'd just like to let you all know that it's good stuff! Not quite as creamy as the stovetop version but it's sooooo easy to make. None of that milk and butter and stirring over heat business. Just mac, water, nuke, cheese, and stir. You can be yumming away on the stuff in 5 minutes!
