Squirmy Is Self-Contained

I came across Squirmy again today before my shower. He was hanging out on the wall above the bathtub. I remembered that he loses his grip when it's humid, so I coaxed him onto my hand to take him someplace drier. We went out on the balcony; I figured I'd give him another chance at freedom. He fluttered, then landed right back on my hand and stayed there. All right, then. Back into the apartment we went.

His jar is currently being used for an egg unboiling experiment, so I put him in a glass mug instead. I left it uncovered, but he's been in there for hours now. I'm actually kind of surprised that he's still alive. How long do moths live?

He probably doesn't want to go anywhere because his instinct is to find nooks and crannies for his kids to live in (as opposed to finding flowers for nectar).

You and Jennie are scaring me. I think I'm going to have to get rid of him the next time I find him.
