What do taste buds taste like?
I wonder because of this:
ilsescully: ema [...] ordered a tongue burrito and they chopped it right in front of us and i could see all the taste buds

Think liver with bumpy texture. the one time I had it ick! Of course I was about 9 so it could have been the look of the whole thing.

does not taste like liver! it has more the texture of kidney imo...sorta chewy but yeah, seeing the taste buds makes me a little squeamish.
and ew, seeing the whole thing in the meat section gives me the willies too. that said, i'd eat it as long as i didn't think about it too hard. =D
