Muse back!

CWIMS 2007

It's been a few years since my last visit to the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show, and it appears that my legs have grown a couple inches since that visit. Either that, or I'm simply more comfortable on a bike now. Or maybe seat heights got lower. I dunno. In any case, I'm no longer sitting on bikes to see how much of my feet can reach the ground, but rather, how comfortable I feel on the bike overall.

Other things have changed, too. My favoritest bike evarrr used to be the R6, but after a round and a half of ~600cc sportbike sits I've decided that I don't like the new R6 setup very much. Sadness. Here are my new ~600cc sportbike rankings, based on want after my 2008 model sits:

1. Honda CBR600RR
2. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
3. Yamaha YZF-R6
4. Suzuki GSX-R600

Another surprise: I got to check out the Ducati Hypermotard, and I no longer want one. It simply didn't feel right. The Ducati booth was not for naught, though, as they had a pimped out Monster on display which led me to decide that I need to replace the ugly orange turn indicators on Mike Wazowski with these. Yes, that's right, need.

Finally got to sit on a bunch of KTMs, and hated every moment of it. KTM, not for me.

Finally got to sit on an MV Agusta Brutale. It ain't bad, but I can now cross it off my list. Good.

Visited my beloved Tuono and stumbled upon the new Shiver. It's pretty hot, and considerably more affordable than the Tuono. I'm adding it to the list!

I'm also adding the Kawasaki Z1000 to the list. It looks a bit like the Brutale, but feels way better, and is cheaper, to boot.

Cheaper? As if motorcycles were about frugality and practicality? Hah!

Hi!

I googled into your blog because you were experimenting with hacking BananAlbum. a year ago or so.

Anyway. You ever figure out how to remove that annoying little logo link in the bottom right hand corner of the screen?

How about full screen dynamic resizing images with BananAlbum? Or anything else?

I'm a web designer not a programmer. Which means I can modify code but not originate it. Ha!

Tell me some of the stuff you learned. I'm coming up with nothing on the forums.

Thanks.
