Who The Hell Is Dave Marshall?!
While looking up some login information in SplashID, I noticed a record that wasn't mine. It was checking account information, and it belonged to Dave Marshall. This rogue record disturbed me greatly. How did it get in there, and are my records floating around in someone else's SplashID instance? A quick sort revealed several more records belonging to Dave. Ack, I thought. ACK!
A Google search on "dave marshall splashid" found nothing. Nothing! Then I was really worried. Ack ack ack, I thought. ACK ACK ACK!
After more acking and ACKing, I looked at their online user guide. As it turns out, Dave Marshall is their sample data guy, and Google didn't pick it up because his name shows up only in screenshots.
I hate you, Dave Marshall. Even if you're imaginary.
So what caused SplashID to insert sample data into my records? How much do you want to bet it had something to do with the f'ing up of my BB sync configuration last week?
That calls for a rarr. Rarr!
