What I've Been Up To In My Sleep
- Fixing bugs several nights a week.
- Seeing my great grandmother, waking up, and regretting that I didn't give her a hug.
- Standing up to a bully. We were all adults, but we were in some sort of class and sitting in deskchairs.
- Playing hockey with a crazy mishmash of a team:
- Trying to get them to tell me their preferred positions and getting answers like "turkey left chicken wing".
- Stepping onto the ridiculously small rink and having trouble turning over a large plastic office chair mat covering up bad ice.
- Running through a bench maze at the facility's big rink and across the hardwood floor baseline of an adjacent basketball court to reach the ridiculously small rink so I could get on the ice for a line change.
- Trying to get my players to bring their water bottles to the ridiculously small rink so they could remain rink-side for faster line changes.
- Feeling frustrated that the players I evaluated whom I thought were not yet ready made it into the crazy mishmash division and ended up on my team.
- Moving into an apartment with my former roommate. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 living room, 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen place with a garage farther away from the front door than my current one. I had to transport my mattress on BART and then carry it on my back across a huge parking lot. The place was cramped and dim, the kitchen was old, and my bathroom was dirty because the person who moved out didn't clean it before she left. I had to scrub some super cruddy crusty stuff off something unrecognizable. It was so gross I think it bounced me out of my dream.
- Sending in a comment online after hearing something on TV about how they might read it on the air.
- Finding a container of blocky mini multicolor psychedelic drug crystals in my apartment. Some shady folks across the street had planted it at my place with a fermenting dead body inside, and had been keeping track of it through binoculars. The drugs needed the dead body to nucleate crystal growth. It smelled like fish. Aaron then stirred it, which broke the crystals and made all the colors blend into a blueish whirl. Then I worried that the shady folks were gonna be upset with their screwed up drugs and kill me.
- Hearing the comment I sent in online read on the TV.
- Seeing my great grandmother again, knowing she didn't have long, and giving her a hug while I still had the chance to.

Whew! My dreams have been:
1. Nightmare: A friend trying to convince me to marry her so I could get a better benefits package and I just kept saying, "But you're a girl! Eew!And I thought my benefits package was good". And she said, Ok, lets just go hang out at Pier 39, which we did and we rode a carousel. (I think I have too much 401K anxiety and a lot of friends marrying).
2. Great dream: I show up at a panel discussion with Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice and my brother. And they all know me and we chat and catch up like old friends while my brother stands there with his mouth literally hanging open. It rocked.
