Almost Back To Normal

Rode through downtown San Jose earlier today to pick up tickets for next Friday's SRL show at ZeroOne. There are still remnants of SJGP track and grandstand along Almaden, i.e. the front straightaway. How weird, to see that whole area back to normal, after having spent hours walking around on Friday with everything blocked off. I was tempted to ride down Almaden between the concrete barriers, imagine a crowd in the grandstand, and maybe wave that wussy sideways Crab People wave that Alonso likes to do out of his powder blue car. (Every time I've watched an F1 race this season that guy has won and waved that stupid wave on his victory lap.) But that wouldn't have been fair to the Monster; it's too cool for such lameness, even if it's done in jest.

What exactly is the SRL show? I went through the links and still don't fully understand. It sounds like a portion of the burning man, but louder and with more explosions.

It's part of ZeroOne San Jose. SRL does shows with machines and fire and kaboom and stuff, I guess. I've never been to any of their shows, but it sounds really cool. :)

Dunno about Burning Man. Never been.
