Blob Blob Blob
I am known to create veryDescriptiveAndSometimesTooLong variable and method names.
I make exceptions, however, for Blobs. Why create aDescriptiveNameForABlob when you can name it ...
theBlob
?

Use taglines from the movie(s) and you can still have long variable names:
terrorHasNoShape
screamNowWhileThereIsStillRoomToBreathe
itCrawlsItCreepsItEatsYouAlive

I now have to find an excuse to write a multiblob method, just so I can use those names. :-D

I love veryLongAndDescriptive data and method names. Why the heck not? You can just cut & paste it in; it's not like we're still using punch cards, for heaven's sake!
(yes, I have used punch cards)

Bless you! *throws rose petals*
As a non-programmer, but someone called upon to edit Lisp routines for Autocad related stuff, I swear if I see another variable like blkqedfaz in a piece of code I may go nuts. Why can't people use something like "yesthisisthevariablethatstoresthedatabaseentityyouneed" ? Especially if you don't put in comments.
I realize there are constraints on variable names in some languages, but jeez.
