Bumper Cars
I'm in my car, on the street, and I turn left into a smallish public lot. There's an end parking space available; a straight shot from the lot entrance, about 2 car lengths away. I pull into the space and prepare to get out. I feel a big jolt. I look in the rear view and see a car behind me. Some bastard just rear ended me in a parking lot! I get out of my car and come around to the back. I see a bright blue Ford Focus front bumper crunched into and slightly on top of my rear bumper. The driver comes out of the Focus. I'm about to ask him what the hell his problem is, but he seems annoyed, declares that he has a meeting to go to, and walks away. I'm left standing there looking at my car, blocked into a parking spot by another car that happens to be crunch resting its bumper on mine.
I think a police officer comes by after that, and he thinks it's no big deal, and I tell him that there's no way people aren't going to notice bright blue bumper paint on my red car.
I don't remember much more, but I do remember that the driver in my dream resembled a guy from a few weekends ago that really weirded me out ... apparently more than I thought.

I can't beat anyone with a hockey stick right now -- I can't lift my right arm high enough!

Ok,I thoughtyou were rather calm about it as well - you need to preface this posts with "Dream Sequence coming" and maybe some funky wave pattern like they do on tv. ;)

It's a lot more fun to tell you at the end. ;)

My real-life encounter yesterday was having someone merge in front of me going really slow. Then she puts her hand out the window, raises it above the car, and throws her cigarette up into the air....where it flies through the air until I run into it with the front of my car.
Nice, not only are you throwing your stupid cigarette out the window and are incapable of using your car's ashtray, you feel the need to throw it up in the air instead of dropping it down.
I was concerned that my car was going to catch on fire (because I was worried it would land in the front grill of my car or get sucked into the engine area). I did write down the license plate, just in case (5NQT318, black car).
Anyway, to make matters worse, this person is going super slow, so I pull over one lane and go to pass her and she's on her cell phone! Now, how does one drive, throw a cigarette out the window, and hold a cell phone at the same time?
I have to check on the littering rules, but I vaguely recall some weird law in California where it's not considered littering to throw water or feathers outside your car. If so, I think I need to carry a feather/water mixture to throw out my sunroof when people do stupid things when driving. Although, I'd much prefer to throw gravel out (like the trucks do). :-)
This morning's stupid driver encounter was a motorcyclist who felt the need to lane share so that he could get up to the front of the line at the red light. And then when the light turns green he continues to straddle two lanes, but goes way too slow....I had to keep braking. Hello, if you are going to jump to the front of the line, you better go fast. And if you can't go faster than my car...get out of the way. :-)

The only point to jumping to the front is to get away from the cars!
Ooh, feather/water/something mysteriously sticky, like, say, maybe tar ... ;)

At least it was only a dream. Your beautiful red car would have been ruended.

Heh, last night I dreamed my car got totalled...by my brother-in-law. My car was in the garage, and we were in a car in the driveway...only he got out with the car in drive and the car accelerated into mine in the garage and squished it against the house.
But then I was a little distracted by the neighbor's sprinklers breaking and causing a rather large geyser to shoot up from their backyard.

Who broke the sprinklers?

Apparently it wasn't important in the dream...but it was impressive as it got my garage wet.
Maybe the rat in my attic broke it. :-)
Actually, I think it's probably a leftover thought about me wondering if our sprinklers still work in our backyard after having a number of boys playing (wrestling) on the grass in the rough manner that little boys do.
