Last night, I found myself at a tasty but uncomfortably spicy dinner. Rice and ice water weren’t helping, so eventually I meditated on the fire in my mouth.
The fire continued to burn, but it ceased to bother me.
What is this sorcery?

Did you try consuming something with fat in it to combat the burn?
My options were one of four spicy dishes, all of which contained some amount of fat, and a large amount of spicy.
