I haven’t gone to bed yet to complete the day, but I figure since it’s past midnight I can write the recap.
Good habits are indeed easy to make. This past week, I haven’t really had to think about doing things I wanted to make a habit of doing. I just did them.
Bad habits are still hard to break. Being conscious of the fact that I wasn’t supposed to do something as I started to do it was enough to make me stop and think about it at first, but there were a few times when I ignored the voice in my head telling me to stop, or I just rationalized the voice away. I worked pretty hard at it and had better success in the later weeks. I’ll continue to work on it. A decades-old habit isn’t going to go away in a month, but I’ve certainly made decent progress that I don’t want to lose.
The verdict? Totally worth doing. I’d definitely do this one again if I identify other habits I want to make or break.
