Desert Tribe = Fun Fun Hockey

Saturday night hockey is FUN! I got to be my goofy self tonight, and boy did that feel good! Who cares if we lost our scrimmage 1-4? We had fun!

Ooh ooh, as an added bonus, I scored our lone goal off my FIRST EVER SNAP SHOT! I learned how to take a snap shot over two years ago, and tonight was the first night I ever tried one in a game, on an incoming puck, no less! It works! It works! It lifted, and hit the middle of the post that runs down the back of the net. Huzzah!

I also tried to bend my knees more skating. I *think* I’m doing a little better. We got some extra ice time after the game and I worked some on getting around people on my backhand side, plus a nifty little head-on deke move, thanks to some tips from Tony. That, and about a gazillion 2-on-0 variations to net with da Lizinator.
